Shopping Steals

I spent part of Labor Day Weekend checking out some Labor Day Sales. The whole point of holiday weekends are the sales right? Like the day after Thanksgiving, or the day after Christmas. Those were meant for sales. Fortunately I am employed now so I can do a lil shopping (within reason) and my mom can’t get mad at me, SCORE.

While I did do some clothes shopping (I think I’m gonna do a whole post on my new work wardrobe), I want to focus on some of the random things I found.

I started out shopping at Bed, Bath and Beyond. I had a 20% off one item coupon and was looking for either a food processor or a hand mixer. The food processors all seemed so expensive, so I checked out the hand mixers. I found this bad boy…

Normally for $60, I got it for $48. I saved a lil bit of money and got a pretty cool hand mixer. It came with a lot of attachments and I’m looking forward to checking it out. Bed, Bath and Beyond gets me every time, I have to pry myself away from all the kitchen gadgets, but I did give in to this little guy…

And it only cost me $5.

Next stop was Marshalls. I always like to check out their kitchen stuff. I never realized they have a whole healthy food section. I picked up a bunch of goodies…

Can’t wait to try this out cooking.

I also couldn’t resist these little goodies

I’m excited to try out these new healthy items. I’m also happy to have real glasses and finally have cupcake baking stuff. I’ve got big plans for baking in the next few months. I hope my new co-worked like to taste test.

What deals have you gotten recently?

  1. Woo hoo! I love buying kitchen appliances πŸ™‚ I have the cuisinart mixer, and it works fabulously.

Most recently, I got 3 books for 15 dollars at Borders going-out-of-business sale. I was happy for the sale but sad to see it going out of business!

    • I can’t wait to try it. I think I’m gonna try the cupcake mix + 1 ingredient sometime soon. I have a box of strawberry that I’m itching to make!

It’s so sad that borders is going out of business, I have a kindle, so I haven’t checked out their sale at all. I may have to look for some cook books.

  2. I haven’t had a chance to really go shopping, but before I left for Tally I bought 2 shirts for $30 dollars πŸ™‚ I need to go shopping next week. I’m leaving for Rhode Island in 10 days and I can bet the weather up there is going to be MUCH different than Florida’s πŸ™‚

    • I’d wait til you get there to buy anything. Less to travel with and they’ll have better options than Florida for cute fall clothes. I noticed that when I moved to south carolina for school. Even though it’s not too far away they had different options than the stores in Florida. I’m so excited for you to move, it’s going to be such a great new experience for you!!
