The past weekend was filled with little victories, and honestly that’s all I really want in life.
Friday for the last part of my work training class I broke a board with my hand. Like legit broke right through it, on purpose. I was soo soo nervous, because I’m definitely not the strongest person and I have really skinny wrists and hands, so I didn’t think it was possible. Luckily I had the support of 25 other people, and one woman told me beforehand, you can do this, you just have to believe you can break the mother effing board. So I believed it and I did it on the first try. TAKE THAT BOARD!
Saturday afternoon I headed to the gym, I had quite the emotional early afternoon, so I really needed something to focus on at the gym. I decided to up the weights on most of my pyramid sets. Let me just tell you, that was NOT EASY, but it was just what I needed. I pushed myself really hard and that little victory made me feel so good. Maybe it’s adding Drake’s new album to my workout playlist that just pushed me further. Whatever it was my legs hurt real bad, but good the next day.
Sunday I had my usual body flow class. The usual instructor was out of town, so we had a sub, I don’t know if it was her, or my sore legs, but OMG the pain. It was definitely more difficult for me. BUT I managed to make it through an entire balance sequence without putting my foot down!! SUPER EXCITING for me! The balance track is the hardest one for me, I just suck at balance, but I’m definitely improving and it makes me so happy. I had a super goofy, excited smile for the rest of the track after I made it through without putting my foot down.
Those are such small victories, but they meant the world to me, and that’s all that really matters 🙂
